Se ei ole nykyisin kovin suosittu porukka. Yleisesti hyväksytty mielipide tuntuu olevan, että olisi tasa-arvoista jakaa perhevapaat äidin ja isän kesken.
No, onhan se. Mutta tasa-arvoista se ei ole, jos jakamisesta päättävät poliitikot.
Silloin kaunis idea muuttuu ylimieliseksi saneluksi. Jokainen äiti ja isä on varmasti tässä asiassa oman perheensä edun asiantuntija.

It is a subject that is very much tied into politics and economy.
I belong to that group which does not support renovation of family leave system here in Finland.
It is not a very popular group these days. The "right" opinion on subject seems to be that family leave - which in Finland can be three years all together - should be divided between mother and father, preferably equally.
Nice idea, but the niceness of it disappears if it is politicians who decide who gets to stay at home. I believe every mom and dad has the right to make the choice best for their family.
